Rebecca Berry was born and raised in Little Rock and has been community organizing across the South and the Mountain West for a number of years. In New Orleans, she organized alongside formerly incarcerated people to restore the rights of folks returning home from prison. She went on to direct a statewide grassroots campaign to expand Medicaid access in Wyoming.
Before coming back home to Arkansas, Rebecca completed a master’s degree in social work and worked on a participatory action research team alongside young people in Colorado who are unhoused or housing insecure. Rebecca is committed to following the leadership of young people and, together, building a livable future in Arkansas.
On a good day, you can find her in a kayak or fiddling at a bluegrass jam!
