Community Impact Strategist, Data & Evaluation
Shun Ingram is passionate about health, community, and helping people live healthier lives. Much of his work has centered on connecting with students, families, and community partners across Arkansas and understanding the everyday factors that shape health, well-being, and opportunity. Shun earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Central Arkansas and his Ph.D. in Health Promotion and Prevention Research from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
His professional experience has included community-based work with the UAMS Translational Research Institute, where he helped use community input and data to better understand health needs and support informed decision-making. At the University of Central Arkansas, his teaching focused on helping students understand how health is shaped by communities and how evidence can be translated into practical programs, partnerships, and solutions. These experiences have strengthened his interest in creating healthier communities and expanding opportunities for children and families, particularly in resource-limited areas.
